LGBTQ+ Allyship Training

Want to let your LGBTQ+ clients/colleagues/students know you’re a supportive ally, but don’t know where to start? Want to understand more about gender and pronouns, but not sure how to ask? Want to know what to do or say if you witness homophobia or transphobia?

This short workshop aims to give you a robust introduction to LGBTQ+ issues, and a safe space to explore all the questions you’ve been too afraid to ask. Sending you away better informed, confident and equipped to be the best ally you can be!

We’ll cover things like gender identity, sexuality, language use, and common misconceptions, as well as any questions you want to bring.

“The structure of the workshop allowed for both learning and discussion, keeping it very interactive. Raven was great at creating a safe place to exchange ideas and ask questions”

“Raven was fantastic; they made the session a genuinely safe space to ask anything, and to really challenge my view of the world. Importantly I came away with some actions to help be a better ally and to push the needle in the right direction!”

“I had no idea what to expect from this event, but came away somehow having got exactly what I needed: more confidence in the knowledge I have of LGBTQ+ issues, more advice on how I can be a visible ally, and actionable steps I can take to be a good ally. Thanks Raven!”

“[I love] how you created a safe space both leading up to and during the workshop. Saying you were happy for us to ask you anything 🙂 People need this environment to ask the questions they feel they shouldn’t. It’s lovely that you don’t take offence and trust that we’re coming from the right place.”
