Another sunny day for some Walk & Talk Coaching – an effective and informal way to talk through your challenges and concerns. Walking in nature combines gentle exercise with fresh air, and studies have shown that walking alongside someone can help slow your thoughts, and with the right thinking partner make it easier to sift through them. So why not combine your coaching session with a walk through the beautiful Porter Valley (mostly flat paths, but let me know if you have any mobility issues and I can set a route for maximum accessibility).
One of Sheffield’s ‘Five Rivers’, the Porter Brook flows from near Ringlinglow in the Peaks, down Porter Clough and through Whiteley Woods before the valley opens out into Endcliffe Park. Whiteley Woods has the convenience of a wide paved path, and a fantastic coffee stop provided by Sheffield’s own Motore Cafe, as well as beautiful mature woodland and heaps of wildlife including grey herons, dippers, jays, and plenty of squirrels! You may even get to say hello to my crow friend (a friendship built entirely on following me for dog treats, so it’s a bit one-sided!).
The walk will last approximately 1-1.5 hours, and a complimentary coffee from Motore is included, obviously 😁
